"_-_______?"

You felt tears, warm tears fall upon your face...

But they weren't your tears, they didn't belong to you.

You felt a cold numbness spread through your body, you knew what it was, but you still welcomed it, it took away the pain.

You couldn't see. Your eyes wouldn't open, but by the small, pleading whimpers you knew who it was who held you, you knew who it was who found you.

"Italy" you said shakily

He let out a pained sob and cried, openly, not keeping the slightest bit of his sorrow in.

"I made a mistake!" he wailed, "I made a mistake again!"

Curiosity tweaked at your mind...What was he talking about?

But that thought drifted away, your thoughts were fuzzy and your mind was scrambled.

You felt him lean down closer to you, you felt him grasp your hand.

That was probably the last thing you felt before a cold numbness spread through your body.

"I'll go back!" he choked out "I'll go back and I'll protect you!"

"What are y-"

"I wont let anything happen to you I swear! I wont let that thing Touch You! So please..."
He was choked, and his voice cracked.
"I'll go back an I'll fix this...I'll fix this no matter what...So please-" he started sobbing again "Bella Mia, please forgive me..."

Forgive him? Forgive him for what? You summoned up all your strength to part your lips and speak.

"Italy..." You whispered "I don't know-I don't know where I am-I don't know what your talking about and I don't know what you just called me...-"

A pain in your chest, caused you to wince, choking mid-sentence

"-But I do know, I have never, ever blamed you for any of this" You stopped, you couldn't talk anymore, you couldn't breathe anymore, you couldn't feel anymore...

"Bella Mia!?" He screamed " __________!?"

You felt him grip your shoulders...His voice was echoing and muffled...It got quieter and quieter, and his grip loosed until you couldn't feel anything...

...Until you couldn't see anything...

...Anything but the dark...

Your eyelids fluttered open, your bright eyes eager to start the day.

You woke up in your usual nest of sheets, quilts and blankets, somehow managing to untangle yourself, you stumbled out of bed, wearing your Pj's, which consisted of an oversized Foot-ball jersey of your national team, and silky boxer-shorts.

You groaned in frustration. You hated when this happened, you just had a long, really intense dream, it felt really vivid and clear, but then, when you tried to remember it...It was almost like the memories of it were running away from you.

You couldn't remember a thing about that dream.

Shaking the thought from your head, you looked at your clock that hung upon the wall. It was forty-minutes into the world meeting, you were supposed to be there ages ago, but today you felt like bunking the World Meeting.

You headed towards the shower, towel in hand.

You had timed this day perfectly, so that you would show up, just as it was ending.

Why go to a meeting once its finished?

Because according to the message that America gave you, three hours from the Conference was a 'haunted house' that everyone was going to, you decided that it would be fun. It wasn't often you got to hang out with the other nations, so you were looking forward to this.

Showered, you were dressed into your Military Uniform, laced up your metal-capped boots and headed out the door.

Blindly and ignorantly wandering towards your fate…
